Fixing pole to pole

I have a requirement to fix a 25mm cranked pole to a pre-existing vertical 50mm pole. Both are stainless. I have neither the equipment or the skills to weld them so am looking for some "mechanical" means to fix one to t'other. I don't think standard U bolts will do the job. Anyone any ideas beyond a couple of large jubilee clips?

End to end, or side by side? Horizontal or vertical arrangement?
 
It'll depend on the intended loading, but if you can get someone/the tool to thread the ends of your two s/steel tubes you will be able to buy a threaded (internal or external) reducing bush from a decent plumbers merchants; though you might need to wait for delivery, it's unlikely to be on-the-shelf
 
As I understand it - you want dual pipe side by side clamps - but the pipe sizes are different.

I would be inclined to drill through both pipes and put a bolt and dome nut in ie two places ... but first pushing in wood dowels of suitable size into the pipes to provide internal support so the nut / bolts do not crush the pipes.

A couple of pipe clips or saddles back to back, one of each size obviously, then bolted through might help to get a solid connection? Or make spacers to suit the two diameters. I've done something similar in hardwood, plastics might be another option.

If this is typical handrail or something like that, the wall thickness won't be enough to take a thread.

What sort of loading are the pipes going to hold? Sounds like a job for a 3d printer?
 
The maritime solution might be to use thin rope or string (marine grade) to make a tight lashing with lots of turns neatly aligned next to each other. Effectively a whipping.

Check. With frapping turns it wont be going anywhere.

Effectively a seizing (as for a seized eye) but I dont know if that term is applied to non-rope/cable objects. A narrow bar, perhaps something like a tyre iron or light truck spring that will fit between the verticals can be used to tamp the frapping turns tight, perhaps aided with a hammer

You could use annealed wire for the seizing.
