Hi all

I'm fitting foil insulation to the yaght. What is the best glue to use? I read polyeuathane, but I am not sure what type to get?

Thanks for any ideas

Justin

Check the spec of whatever adhesive you buy, as the sun can heat up the cabin sides and deckhead beyond the top range o f some adhesives.

I had a LandRover with insulation glued on with Evostick. The first day that we had real heat passing through Syria, all the insulation dropped off, with the Evostick hanging in threads.

I've used nonail, wallboard adhesive in the past, applied to solid surfaces with a toothed spreader to get an even cover, then apply to foil, using a roller or flexible bit of plastic to squeeze out the air. Wallboard adhesive has good unitial "garb", and it's cheap and readily available.

Have used Bostik 3206 with no problems. Check out the specs when deciding what to use. Read the max temperature of the glue. The higher the better.
