Has anyone fitted one? I got a Seago 240
(2.4m)
I imagine that I would have to glue some sort of fitting to hold the metal frame.

Here is a link to the Seago 240 for reference.
Seago Spirit 240 Slatted Floor 2.4m Inflatable Dinghy

I have seen a few small inflatable dinghies in the Caribbean with improvised biminis.
If you have a simple bimini with two supports, fore and aft, on a single hinge on each side, maybe you could incorporate the bimini's hinge each side into the oarlock assembly?
You could then have straps coming down from the bimini to secure it fore and aft, perhaps attaching to the lifting handles?
A single strap on each end should be enough?

The oars are on pins, with 'nuts' to secure them - maybe the base of the bimini tube could have a hole that could fit over the oar lock pin, keeping the pins horizontal, and pointing outboard, in the same fashion as when the oars are stowed.
Although you would not be able to row the dinghy too easily. But the oars would be available for immediate use as paddles instead.

Son has one fitted to his Avon Sib, I'll ask him when he comes home from work tonight.

Edit: One thing I did notice is that he also has it anchored at the bow and stern with a small ratchet strap as well as the metal frame going to the tubes.

Great, thanks. I only have a 2.5hp outboard on a 2.4m Seago. I don’t think that I will go has enough for the need for ratchet straps?

I have seen few vendors on eBay selling selling rubber mounts for the metal frame. It’s going to be a matter of matching the mounting kit to the tubes. There are few Bimini on Amazon that need investigating.

He only has a small outboard too, and I have a 2hp Honda but no boat at the moment so no speed merchants here ;)
