It's the fourth annual pop group fishing trip on monday, till about friday. They keep mouning about fishes. Either too small or not enough of them. Last year I got fed up and found them a basking shark 30ft long. Just parked up at the side of it. But all I got was complaints cos, too big. So I need to find some biggish fishes, but not as big as the shark.I've got the fish finder and nicked the lat/long of wrecks from the dive sites. May look at Hands Deap but not the Edistone cos theres rocks there and my boat dont like rocks. So where are all the fishes round Plymouth these days, or within steaming distance. Oh and if I get fed up. Is there any nice girls down there to keep me company!!

Oi don,t rub it in .Most of the mob reading your post will be staring out the office window and mumbling about the weekend being ages away and the crap weather forecast.........now gotta get dressed and get the outboard out of the garage even the wife is out of bed.

Exercise is bunk.If you are healthy, you do not need it;if you are sick you should not take it.

Directions to the best place to find fish in the Plymouth area

Come out of the Tamar Estuary, cut between Drakes Island and the Hoe, come left again, into Sutton Harbour Marina. Tie up there, cross over to National Aquarium... lots of fish... though I am not sure rods are permitted inside.

Anywhere else and the French and Spaniards have hoovered them up in their trawlers.

No H, don't bother with rods, they'll only get upset when you start catching the hooks in the other visitors when you're casting. Just get one of Tuts hair nets and use it like a trawl net. Should do the job nicely.

Alternatively just buy the fish from Tesco's ready filleted and stuff it in the fridge on the boat and pretend you caught them. Saves all that messing around with bait and getting the lines tangled etc, by far the easiest way IMHO.

I perfectly agree Colin but then I'm not mad about fishing. Dont mind a bit now and then, but this lot are fishing maniacs.
Like the idea of fishing in the aquarium though cos its forcasting rain for monday and it would be much better indoors. Better idea than Tutt's hairnet. I'll use the fishnet stockings!!
