Because of all that has been going on or not going on we have not been out on our Sealine S24 (Baloo) in about 14 months. I was impressed that the good old KAD 32 Started first turn of the key and all seemed good.

We have made good use of our smaller boats in this period but not Baloo. So if anyone is interested here is a video of our first trip out in ages on the Norfolk Broads where she is kept at the moment

Was Mystery originally with a Petrol Engine that was then converted to KAD32 ?
In my day it was a petrol.
The “Mystery” name came from the boat was originally built for a German as an S23 with methylated spirit stove?? He returned it?? and Sealine upgraded the decals to S24 (or was it S240?) and put in a gas stove and sold it to me. After 8 years I traded it in to Sealine who redecalled it back to S23??
I could never get the VAT paid documents from Sealine
All a bit of a “Mystery”

The S23 followed the S24 . Both similar layout but the S23 was an all new model in 2002 (I think). The S23 later became the S25 . The later S25s had the d3 engine.
The S240 and S24 might have been the same hull etc except for cosmetic differences.

It was a while ago. I bought the S37 in 2002. I’ll look at some old pics and find out what I really had.

The Reason I ask is because my Boat S24 Baloo originally had a petrol engine because when it was bought new the Diesel versions were in very short supply. He later paid a small fortune and had the KAD32 put in it and then it was sold and was renamed, Snafell , and later renamed again as Baloo........ I wish people would keep the name of the boat and not keep changing it as it destroys a lot of the Boats History.

Martyn G is correct about the History of the 24 foot Sealines which is as follows.

S240 Then S24 (Many with KAD32's) Then just to confuse things the S23 and then the S25 all are very similar boats in many ways. The S25 being the most modern but rearly there is very little difference.

Ah you are all right
Actually I edit a correction
Mine was born an S230 Senator and re decaled to the S240 facelift which was the dark blue and teal lines
You probably can’t see it but the pic has 240
I don’t know why Sealine felt the need to take it back to S230

It started as a 230, moved on to 240 then S24. the 240 had Aqua stripe, 230 had the red strip.

Easiest way to identify is 230 had 8 +1 switches 240 had 9 +2 switches, late 240's had 4 +2 switches,, S23 had all large switches in a block, also S23 had the Formica interior switch panel.

Reversal to S230 may have been the serial number identified it as a S230 and if the they were selling it on may have needed to match.

Let me guess Brian you made all the Sealine electrical panels and even up to my 2002 S37

Also your comment about the matching of serial number to model may explain why I could never get the VAT invoice from Sealine.

No we parted company around 1996 for switchgear, back door dealings and internal politcs, more like Howards Way  expensive episode. We supplied the shunts, and other control systems after that till they went bust. Pity as we were making more profit working two weeks a month, than I did supplying all the swtchgear, though we still do spares for most items.
