All progressing well. Survey passed with flying colours, a couple of minor things being done by dealer and fresh anti fouling tomorrow. Wanted to sea trial Friday but weather not looking suitable so perhaps will slip into later next week. So completion end Feb at this point.































I’ve decided to pay for an instructor for a days tuition, being an assisted passage Swanick to Poole, so I can enjoy the trip vs being stressed out, then a bit of time mooring/unmooring so money well spent I think.

Thats an excellent idea and will be a good day on many fronts. Hope the purchase goes smoothy

Update for anyone that’s interested.
Took delivery fine, so we’re now 895 owners, but just too windy to do passage from Swanick to Cobbs, so she’s berthed at Swanick at the moment.
We slept overnight on Friday which was an experience! 0 degrees so webasto struggled to maintain a warm temp. But we slept ok… Matress a bit hard tbh but not sure I want to spend £1200 on a custom jobbie.. we’ll try a few more sleeps and go from there. I think we were the only overnighters in the whole Marina !,
Target move date is March 21 at this point, as the next week is high winds daily so we’ll see how the forecast pans out.. Swanick is cool but we want to get her over to Cobbs and get settled if that makes sense.

We did this and it made a huge difference.
Also, worth considering an oil filled rad for whilst you’re in shore power.

For use on shore power I installed a heater panel. IP classified for bathrooms, completely silent, accurate tempeture keeping etc.
Went for a black glass model from Norwegian Adax Neo Black Modern 800W Electric Panel Heater with wifi app feature.

And, for the bed, a DRY-MAT underlay under the matress.

Keeps condsation at bay and add ½" or so to the thickness

We used Jonic for our bedding. We had a fitted topper (game changer), protector and top sheet. They are a motor home specialist, so no boaty premium. Total cost under £300.
