We're going on our first cruise via a Sunsail flotilla this May. We'll be taking a Sun Odessey 45.2, and we're looking for advice. Thanks.

Had a two week bareboat there in October 2002 very nice and not hard sailing did find the price of drink a bit steep but not the worst I have come across.
the people are great to talk to and there is a lot to see in such a small area.
Enjoy it.

You'll love it (we did)!! Take insect bite stuff and snorkelling gear if it's not provided.

But do a search here and you will find quite a few threads with lots of good advice. Someone also posted an addy for a board all about the BVIs - hopefully your search will bring this up too.

if you do a search under BVIs you should find a lot of info from posters on the forum
you nprobably only need to go back as far as jan this year cos that is when people got back this year and posted a load of info
if you cannot find the post pm me and i will have a dig for you

Have a look at http://www.bluemoment.com/bvi.html

It's essentially the content of a long post from January by TCM, a stalwart of this forum, which he was good enough to allow me to turn into an article. There's a printer friendly version available.

we went last may, had a great time.in fact got last years quite cheap but had such a great time we're going to st . martin this may ! top tips -

1) provisions are cheaper from bobby's supermarket who will deliver to the sunsail base - also have a wider selection. you can order on line

http://www.islandsonline.com/bobbysmarketplace/

2) when you get there eat down the road at hog's dinner or what ever its called rather than the restaurrant at the marina (bit average). in fact i think all the restaurants are mostly over priced, we ate much better off teh bbq and went out for drinks occ instead.

3) try and get in some diving (perhaps on the day off the flotilla? ) its good -made even better by the dive boat meeting you from the yacht - ultimate relaxing, easy diving.

favourite spots you should encourage the lead boat to take you - sandy cay, deadmans bay, bitter end.
overated - the baths

have a great time ! anything else i can help with let me know.

You can't blame the water for finding a hole in the boat.

You are too kind . . .
