First coastal cruise

I moor on the Gt Ouse and have been the other way. Regularly round to Wells and occasionally the Broads and beyond.

If you are looking for tidal experience, go elsewhere. Getting in and out of Wells and Kings Lynn are tricky and not for the inexperienced. I've seen a number of posts like this over they years and many have ended up with RNLI involvement.

No one has mentioned the danger of navigating the tidal river from Kings Lynn to the lock at Denver..... this is way more dangerous than any sea passage. When the tide is out..... there is no water..... when the tide is in..... there is no headroom..... timing is everything........ there is also absolutly no where to stop and moor up..... almost impossible on neeps, tricky on springs.....

Do it by road..... it may save your life.

Then.... when you know the boat.... do a Wells trip with like minded souls..... then build from there.....
