One of my pals (who I got into boating) has been at Poole Boat Park for the last 3 years but is now going to pack it in because he can't find a decent alternative. What with the weather etc he just thinkds it's not worth the hassle of trying to find somewhere else. I wonder how many others will just give up, and also those who are at Cobbs who see another bridge as just one bit of aggro too far.

Still if you want a nice mint Glastron SX 175, trailer etc with less than 100 hours for £10k I can point you in the right direction....

Yes you could be right, those that already have to wait for one bridge to open may not want the hassle of further delay waiting for a second bridge to be lifted.

I shall be moving from Poole Boat Park to Cobbs in September and although I can pass under the bridge will plan my departure times to avoid bridge delayed boats.

I can understand the weather driving many such decisions - if I hadn;t had such a great ime in Feb, Mar & April I would be doing more than thinking about packing in the van and boat combination!

Fortunately I chose May for maintainace and June July have been and enforced layup (well I would have to go out of my way to use it).........
