Even in the Uk the growth on duoprops / outdrives / IPS kills speed really quickly. I needed two mid season scrubs to keep the speed near max.

I can't overstate how different fouling can be in various areas of the Med. We don't get any barnacles or weed where we are. Six months after an antifoul all we have is some slime (on hull and props), which makes a negligible different to performance. Mid season scrubs are unheard of.

I've noticed the Prestige 55 comes with Cummings engines and QSC Zeus pods.

Are they a better option than Penta?

Its the pods that would be a problem for me.

There are far fewer horror stories about these, although of course they are less common than IPS.
