Re: First aid - this is what I carry.

Although the facetious replies are fun, this is what I was looking for. I'm also impressed that someone carries adrenalin. Many years ago I was hospitalised in Canada after a horse fly bite and a boat would be a bad place to get that ill again.

Good. As a result of the other relies to your question I an now considering adding a dental kit. Regarding the Adrenelin, I would not add that to the kit unless I knew exactly in which circumstanses to administer it as in some medical conditions it could actually make matters worse.

...and here's a picture of an emergency dental kit in action. This was near Inverie last summer when the dentist wasn't due to visit for 6 days and the next nearest was back in Fort William (a long way by boat)...

Pre-emptive strike!

Firstly send Wife to get bits for the First Aid bax. Give her a list. At the top of the list put Solpadiene. You will definitely need these every weekend to counteract G&T before meal, wine with meal and a bottle of Glayva (between 2 of course) after meal.

Said Solpadiene should be taken as a pre-emptive strike before going to bed in order to avoid the descent into hell when you wake up the next morning with an iron bar shoved down your spine facing a beat home into a F5 with the mother of all hangovers.

This could also come under that other thread "best advice etc".

One's fpr medicinal purposes. I've also got a bottle of malt aboard , usually either Highland Park or The Macallan. Also occasionally a bottle of 12 yr Chivas Regal. I don't know if they're medicinal but they don't half make me feel better.
