This has been covered before but bears repeating.
After my recent experience, I took the emptied extinguisher to the local service agents. They could normally refill (CO2) but their pump (?) was out of action. Not being willing to sail with only the remaining two extinguishers, I sought a replacement to fit on the same bracket. There was only one available and the cylinder was stamped 2015. As CO2 cylinders need to be tested (hydraulically) every ten years, there were only two years of life left.
Worth checking before you buy.

(hydrostatic testing is required for every pressure cylinders. Mu dry powder and my dive cylinders must be tested every so often.
