A sad sight indeed and not an easy incident to deal with as a responder. As previously mentioned, once fire takes hold on a grp boat it is very difficult to extinguish and efforts should be directed on prevention of fire spread to neighboring vessels. Consideration also has to be given to ignition of leaking fuel on the surface of the water and stability of the mast once the superstructure has been damaged.
