Just seen on FB a fire at Swanwicks Deacons boatyard chandlery, it started late last night so I can't imagine anyone hurt.

I phoned their rigging branch to sort out some docklines.
The Aladdin's Cave Rigging subsidiary is still open, but the chandlery is closed, and won't be open again for some time.

Fire was apparently high up on the outside: no boats damaged (they say).

That is my Nimbus 310 in the foreground by WHY's sales office. She has had a lucky escape but I will be checking her over carefully when there on Thursday.

There is another Force4 just over the bridge (or yet another further down the Hamble for that matter) but not as well stocked with bits as the Deacon's one I agree.
