Sea trials have now been carried out and It gives me tremendous pleasure to recommend the Fenderstep to members of the Falorum.
Fiona the Fenderstep is a comely thing who withstands well the pressure of my "Sprightly" (See 15 minutes of fame post) frame. Suspended at the correct height she offers the perfect means of getting my leg over as I mount from the dinghy.
At good chandlers everywhere - which naturally means that you'll not find one at Preston Marina - oops sorry shouldn't have said that!

It is with great interest that I learn of Fenderstep's prowess.
Any appliance that assists men of our advancing years, Claymore, to gain access, wether getting ones leg over or not, has to be applauded.
Perhaps Messrs. Stenna (have I got the right firm?) can be persuaded to pioneer the Mobile Fender Lift, so that access can be guaranteed further into our twilight years.
Well done, and keep it up!

I am afraid that this fenderstep "review" is becoming rather transparent, and owing to that fact that nobody else has recommended or even mentioned them except yourself (lots of times) i must question either you financial involvement, or perhaps the sales success of Fenderstep inc, whose customers still number only slightly more than zero. Mind you it's evidently a very happy customer. Or one with a very high freeboard/worried/incapacitance index? Dare i suggest that baggier trousis might allow you the room to clamber aboard without a fenderstep? Or perhaps filling up the water tanks a bit?

Claymore, please don't let them know everything the fenderstep can be used for or they will all want one! Some things are best kept secret.

I own up!!! we have a Fenderstep too. As I am 5ft 1in. and we have a high freeboard, it is wonderful! Otherwise I would be left at home doing the housework, gardening.....

I am sure that Claymore does not have any vested interest, but I do, as the designer and developer of this product that has now sold more than 1500 units in just the six months since their UK launch

I am delighted that people are finding them of use both for getting on and off their boats (even low top-sided traditional boats when boarding from dinghy’s!) but also that they provide a subject for amusement in these forums for a limited number of individuals……………..
