Wonder how people do store their fender board on the boat?
Mine is on the deck and tied up to the stanchions

That seems to be the most normal method.
The same applies to the scaffold boards supplied as passarelles on Greek charter boats.

Day to day along the stanchions at the starboard bow, but going offshore laid flat on the deck between mast & spray hood.

Our fender boards are actually heavy duty waste pipes. They slide over our twin whisker poles on deck but you can store them more easily than planks even if you don’t have poles to slide them over. Lighter, don’t rot, strong.

Our fender boards are actually heavy duty waste pipes. They slide over our twin whisker poles on deck but you can store them more easily than planks even if you don’t have poles to slide them over. Lighter, don’t rot, strong.

IMHO cutting them in half (as suggested by PlankWalker), or folding ones would seem to me to negate the purpose of the fender boards, particularly if trying to tie up to the end of the quay in Schull!

Oh gosh I can’t recall but yeah about that. The lines that we tie into the guard rails are Pulled inside the tubes so we don’t have to tie them on each time. They can roll against the harbour wall and fender a little also which reduced chaffe / pulling on the fenders.

Leave them on deck inside the guard rails tied in with the same lines when they’re used as fender boards. Whisker poles don't come out that often as we have a spinnaker pole also which is rigged to the mast.
