farce 4 chandlery

Ordered two heavy duty wiper motors from Force 4 which arrived in good time. self parking the advert said. I couldn't get them to park so I contacted force 4 who faxed me the wiring. still no go. I opened the gear box to find no parking mec just a negitive connection and two positive connections, one slow speed one fast. I contacter f4 again and awaited Stephen's return call. phoned again and no return call. again and again no contact from Stephen. If anyone knows Stephen perhaps you could get him to contact me.

Had a similar problem with an oscillating fan (not as described in the catalogue) got absolutly nowhere with them. Never been back.

well, i ordered some kollision kits and they were okay, but didn't need after sales runback.

The power of the Forum.
Stephen phoned me back this morning. He still cannot work out how the motors were not self parking because wholesalers insisted they were. Well I had installed the motors anyway and I will just park them manually and all is forgiven. Perhaps those of us in business INCLUDING MYSELF, should learn that it is frustrating for a customer to be left in limbo, we must act in a fast efficient manor to sort out queeries.

Can I just say that the Stephen and Peter are two of the most upright and straight talking members of the marine fraternity and whilst all large mail order operations may occasionaly trip up it would be wrong to allude to them as shysters or con artists which they very much are not.

I am sure that they are good guys and shysters etc was not in, nor intended to be reflected by my post. Looking at the orig post faults them only for being negligent in making contact with me. That has been put right and the matter put to bed. I have to manually park my wipers with two switches. A refund had been offered.
Please don't think of me as a whinge or sad bas$£"$. Cos I am not, I really only want to see out when boating in the rain.

Thats odd, cos I have had very good service from them with the 4 orders I have placed??
