I love it :encouragement:...the "unusual" upholstery (sorry Paul!)...

Sealine S48 doesn't have a flybridge....
I'm up. Targa 43 also no flybridge.
Fancy a go at three for three?
What marina are you in?
Yes we stripped it all and bought it back to the uk to be done. The 52 we have now has been done in a similar style.
The Phantom 43 is the flybridge, it uses the same hull as the Targa. Also there is the Phantom 43AC.[/Q
Targa 43 and Phantom 43 had totally different hulls. Much wider the latest and released in 2002.
This was at Hamble Point.
As you come in just Infront of you on the right?? With a very loud border collie?? If so that would of been me
I really admire what you've done. I love the fact that it's the original blue and white and particularly like that you've done something different. In a perfect world I'd have white sunbrella or whatever in the original colours and style but the vinyl is just so practical that I can't see us changing it.[/QUOTE
Did the 52 in a lighter material more white than grey
That’s the one! I was the Targa 40 opposite you! :encouragement:
Cool...small world.
Was you doing a name change?
Ian
Yes, it would be! Another satisfied customer I hope.
We bought one a couple of seasons ago, it needed cosmetic work due to age, which most of them do, which we took into our buying decision and budget.
They are great boats, really solid hull, great in any sea conditions, easy to handle around the marina and fast, we have the big TAMD75 and often see 35+ knots when clean. Fuel economy is not too bad, not least because if you actually do ”real world” cruising speeds say 18 to 24 knots the engines are not working hard and so don’t have the thirst, especially with the TAMD74/75s at 480hp each!
The sunpad over the garage is one of the best bits, you’ll be amazed how much use it gets, especially in the uk. When anchored the boat often sits bow to wind (unless a strong tide is running) and with the windscreen and side canopies still in place the aft sunpad is out of the wind and a great sun trap to sit and read a book or have a snooze!
Budget for new canopies (ours extend right over the sunpad but go under the handrails, which also protects the teak floors), new navigation electronics, new upholstery (at least in the cockpit, new sunpad cushions fore and aft, new teak bathing platform, new saloon carpet and blasting the hull to remove 10-15 years of old antifoul (we put copper coat on afterwards). Beyond that you are just in to usual servicing and age related maintenance.
The tender garage will take a partially deflated centre console Avon 280 RIB (9.9hp) which we have or a Williams 285 if you get the one with the low seat etc. Some T43s have had the garage ceiling modified to take mini RIBs. I swapped the rollers installed for a Williams for a long run of roller coaster trailer rollers on a frame and that makes getting the RIB in and out easy.
Great boats, so good that Fairline are going to make a new T43 but that won’t be on shafts,
