Wow that is cheap, it just shows how the market has dropped. Shame its not got the 74s in, I'd be interested.

Hi robin, err no thanks, I have something sorted I hope, just waiting for some official paperwork, its not a phantom 43 or a princess 42 either, just something I stumbled across on yachtworld.

Paul
Hope it all works out for you

Robin
PS Mate has a Fairline 43ac up for sale if you know of anyone interested - £125k 1997/98

It appears cheap I think. Considering they have a 12 month newer one for 150k more inc vat. If that's the market price then it just shows that Fairlines have pretty severe depreciation IMHO. Maybe stack em high sell em cheap has a downside after all..........?

Thats a competitive price but I know of a couple 43 Targa's that sold to a similar price in Italy, being newer and with the bigger 480hp Volvos.

Speaking of the global market Fairline is one of the least depreciated boats out there, but may be the 43 Targa is a victim of its success cause they sold quite a few of them.

I've always considered the T43 to be a bit of a classic. Good looking, roomy with a tender garage and on shafts. If I was looking for a sports cruiser I'd certainly consider one over a T40 which I think people to be a little compromised.

Agreed!
I still think of it as one of the best looking Targa's ever made along with the old 38/39. The only thing that I do not like is the little bit cramped aft deck for 13 meters, but non the less the 43 Targa is indeed a classic boat.
Also note that the later versions from 2004 - 05 had a bigger tender garage (I think you can put the small Williams jet tender in there) along with telescopic hydraulic passarelle layout.

Anyways in that year 1997 -98 another classic was launched by Sunseeker 44 Camargue which is also a nice boat, but the ride and performance do not even start with what the 43 Targa delivers.

We have about eight 43Ts from nil a few years ago, and I must admit I am always soft spotted to look a couple of times to each one of them.
They still look a nice boat after 15 years since they where introduced, that is indeed an important feat. I honestly would not consider one of them as an upgrade cause locally we are full of them....

Have always found the real suprises/bargains only come after you have removed the
" I only want a XYZ 42 " straightjacket and almost certainly walking past boats which will do the job you want probably better than the boat you have set your heart on.
