Apologies for the blatent Fairline plug, but Fairline are holding an event in Mallorca to celebrate their 50th year of boat building....

---------------------------

To celebrate our 50th Anniversary we've planned something truly spectacular for 50 of our most passionate and dedicated Fairline customers - and that includes you!

The plan is to create photographic history by capturing a magnificent formation of 50 Fairline yachts assembled on the sparkling blue waters of the Balearic Sea… complete with a helicopter camera crew.

SO WHAT'S THE PLAN?

It's quite simple, really. We will all meet at the following coordinates on the 10th of June, at 4pm:

39°47.9'N 2°41.1'E

(We will be using channel 75 VHF to co-ordinate the day)

Once our fleet of 50 Fairline yachts are in place (undoubtedly a marvellous sight to behold), the helicopter camera crew will swing into action, capturing every moment on film.

IT'S A WRAP!

From there, we will all head back to Port Soller in a single glorious flotilla.

---------------------------

The celebrations will continue back at Soller with a band and no doubt lots of drinks. If anyone wants to join the fun, then contact your local Baldrick dealer. I believe JFM is steaming over, not sure I'll be there as I don't have a boat :( (but I will be in the Baldricks at that time so may pitch up if there's drink involved).

Sounds like we can look forward to some amazing drone footage...
Fair winds and all the very best for a great event with a lot of fun! :encouragement:

I'm planning to go. It's a big trip (relatively!) @300nm each way but if the weather is ok I'll go. Will probably keep boat in Mallorca for a month or so.
Drone sounds good but it would be unfortunate to crash into the helicopter.

I'm sure the helicopter will be safe.....your drone piloting skills must have improved since the mast incident;)

I bet it'll be a great event in the boating calendar.

Shame they couldn't have got a flotilla together containing one of every model they have ever produced. Logistically it probably borders on the near impossible, but it would make quite an image. :D

It's a shame this is in the med. I bet ther are more Fairlines in the Solent than in the med.

Is this fairline doing a Sunseeker and only looking after the med crowd?
