Fairline 50th Anniversary Event

Maybe they wanted to hold the event in the Med so that there was a sporting chance of sunshine for the vid? Imagine getting 50 Fairlines together in the Solent and the event gets cancelled because it's raining cats and dogs and the cloudbase is too low for the chopper to leave Soton. :D

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but you've got a Priness Mike so wouldn't have been terribly welcome :)!

I've heard that, in the past, (especially Sunseeker) that when these events are organised, everyone is welcome.
I would be surprised if this wasn't the case with Fairline.

Anyway, we can't make it.
But we would if we could.

Ouch, but it is a Fairline flotilla / photo shoot, so it would be slightly strange to have other boat in the mix!

Chum of mine went, rumour is that particular vessel crept back on one engine ? ECU problem.
Somebody may know more ?

boat that came back on one engine was due to the IPS munching up all its clutch plates.
Fix and pass the heap on to next mug was one brokers recommendation. !

As I said earlier, I wasn't able to attend this year (the closest I got to the event was making the burgees - all a bit lastminute.com but they got there in time and Fairline were pleased with them). Fairline have sent me a link to the full set of photos (120 or so) so if there's any in particular that someone wants then let me know.

I know some people were unable to attend due to the short notice but Fairline have confirmed that as it was such a success they'll repeat the event next year. Next time I hope to be there (might even have a boat) and it would be great to see some of you others there too. I'll let you know as soon as I get a date.

Here's some pics of the event this year...
