Last Thursday the temperature sender on my Bukh DV20 failed (indicating 120deg C all time) whilst at Northney having my mast unstepped. Having determined it was the temp sender not a genuine problem I motored back to Itchenor only to have the overtemp alarm go off half way back (another output of same sender).
Anyway, the point is, looking at the receipts from the previous owners I see that the sender was replaced in 2000 and again in 2002. Now it's gone again in 2003.
Anyone have any idea why they should be failing so regularly?
