given the bike probably does 0-100mph in 6 secs max, the boat was never going to stand a chance. What was a bit surprising was how little ground the car made against the bike.

that one's all about the reaction times - for the runs where the bike and car move off at the same time the car's edge (even in early acceleration) is obvious, give the bike half a sec and the curves will then match for about 5 secs before the car starts to catch up at all.

Amusing bit of Honda promotion but unfortunately it meant they had to use a Honda powered boat rather than a properly fast boat.
