Buggeration....

Rumbled. Can you not aim for world Domination starting in Scotland and leave us England dwellers out of your small mined, politically challenged, nonsensical approach that only a life long civil servant could come up with

...and I still want my Fezza...please /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Nope will not fall for that one.

Mr Brown is a very nice gentleman who invests my money and on my behalf looks after the unemployed and third world countries.

I think your looking for a way to stay out of court and suggest I might accept damages of perhaps a case of Becks. (I have yet to instruct my Legal Adviser)

Being of unsound mind I will overlook the ' Big girlie ' slur but reserve the right to hit you with my handbag if we ever meet.

Hi Jez

I think there could be a risk that you end up giving them too much time to come up with reasons why they don't want to buy it; it could just end up being subsidised charter.

The biggest stumbling block I have always found is brokers who won't give you a sea trial until you've actually signed a contract and paid a deposit - that definitely gets in the way of a sale. I would have thought a more flexible attitude to accompanied sea trials would be much more likely to convert into sales.

Cheers
Jimmy

Think that would be certainly be of interest to the buyer but maybe the dealer wouldn't be so hot, I could see punch ups over who damaged it last, "wasn't me gov must have been the last fella", secondly if the dealer isn't on board they will absolutely thrash the nuts off it once out of sight....guess who made that mistake with a customer before.... /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

I know what you mean, jezbanks. Thats what always impresses me about BMW dealers, at least my local one. They just lob you the keys to the demo car or bike and tell you to take it for as long as you like which is probably why I end up buying so many of them
But I think there are problems with doing that with a demo boat. First off your insurance co will up your premium considerably and as has been already said, some peeps will just use it as a cheap charter. Then the demo boat is always going to be out on demo so it's going to look tired pretty quickly and you'd have to be pretty confident it's not going to break down with all that use which might put buyers off of course
I think it's better to concentrate on just doing normal demos well. Things like having the boat clean, fuelled and ready to go at the appointed time. Maybe consider nice touches like offering potential buyers a drink and a bite to eat on the boat before you set off. Then ensure that the demo shows the boat off as well as possible and allow the potential buyer to have as long as he wants on it

Noted. Nice little site for the Targa BTW. Hope you find a home for her quickly. Are you coming to the pub tonight?

Thanks Jez. Can't make it next week now as I have started French lessons twice a week (!) Mondays and Thursdays - going to be in Antibes a lot over the summer so I prolly need to learn how to ask for another beer.

Cheers
Jimmy
