exhaust temperature

have to install an exhaust temperature alarm (vetus)- how do i connect? the instrument has postive and ground-- the temp sensor has two contacts without any markings? thanks chris.

Identify the + on your ignition switch which, when you turn on the engine,
powers the other alarm systems (water and oil notably). Run a + lead to
one side of the alarm sensor (doesn't matter which) and back from the other
side to the + on the indicator. Connect the indicator - to earth. The sensor is a
switch that closes when it reaches a certain temperature and thus completes the
circuit.
