I worked with a bloke who lived in Barking as a kid.
When the asbestos regulations started to come in, he told us a story about him and his mates getting into Turner & Newall's yard and playing "snowballs" with all the white powder lying around.
After going to a few colleague's funerals, it doesn't seem so amusing now.

The original Exhaust Insulating Wrap was developed over 25 years ago by ... Wrap withstands continuous heat up to 2000°F, and contains no asbestos.Anyone have any thoughts. The area is so small I feel like I could get stuck in there and Marine Asbestos do the job quick but a quick browse under the Government HOSE.gov.UK site and I thought I would get another opinion from ship
