I have a water leak where the exhaust hose joins the water trap and at the exhaust elbow. Has anyone had success with using sealant at this point? If so what was it?
Thanks

If I had to tackle that I would probably try car exhaust repair tape and put a couple of hose clamps over it. There is a lot of pressure in there so early replacement of the hose would be best. If it is by the elbow there is a chance this will have corroded and may need to be replaced.

I once repaired a hose lower down and a casual lash up would not do it, the hose had to come off to be bodged properly with multiple wraps of heavy tape, wires, clamps etc.

Double check there isnt a leak elsewhere. Stainless can perforate to an absolutely tiny holes

Silicon hoses are difficult to get a good seal on without some sikkaflex. Was told to use this by Sabre engineer many many moons ago and has worked for me on hose to stainless and plastics. Dont overtighten clips either as they then cut through.

Old exhaust hose tends to harden which makes sealing difficult. If it is more than say 5-10 years old consider replacing it.
