I have bought a new boat.

It needs a bit of work to make it tip top, but at least it's afloat. I expect many of you will be pleased to help me out a bit and I hope to get some commercial sponsorship. It's a great opportunity to get some meaningful exposure.

It's in a Northern marina.

I'll help you out by suggesting that you might consider deploying a few more fenders - you wouldn't want the harbour wall to be damaged by your boat's paint work...

probably best if you were to lift her out and let her dry for a decade or so. Perhaps if you join forces with a few other owners, you could get a discount from a Hiab company.

Great support so far.
I have started the framework for the deckhouse and am hoping for some benefactor to help with the bulwarks as I haven't the faintest idea what to do.
It's looking good.

Would you like me to set you up a Facebook page for the project? You'll need a website too. Maybe even Pinterest.

I love projects. and old wooden boats in particular.
I used to build and repair them, but,
You normally start with a small one.
The Deckhouse, I suggest, may well be the least of your problems.
The benefactor for the bulwarks would need to be big in forestry one would assume.
You are going to need a fair amount of timber to replace that lot, and a steam box.
I am a big fan of those old canoe stern fishing boats, You can take them anywhere.
And your example has definitely been taken.
But on the whole I think a bit of a clean, and a lick of paint, she will be fine.
Good luck Lakesailor!!
