Same as came with the motor. I think the problem arose as I wasn’t able to use both slow and fast wipe wires. I chose to connect the slow wipe and leave the fast wipe disconnected, result blown fuses. Connecting the fast wipe and leaving the slow wipe disconnected works ok, although I can’t see why. Perhaps it would be good to include instructions for connecting the motor to a single speed switch in the manual.
I got the second motor wired in this afternoon. Both work but well out of sync and still the odd blown fuse. I think I’m going to have to fit this controller to get things working right.Or ideally you would use new controllers... Is it one of these? It came up when i googled the motors.

The original for the old motors was 10a, the new motors are rated for 5a and comprehensively blow 7.5a. There are other advantages, two speed and intermittent wipe and helm wipe only, just going to be a pain running the cables. So I assume you have two 5A fuses, one for each motor on separate supplies? I’ve actually been wetting the screen for this reason. I just think the motors aren’t designed to run off a single one motor switch which I hadn’t realised when I started the upgrade.I had a similar issue, I put it down to the wipers operating on dry windscreens when testing the current draw and I uprated the S/S springs in the wiper arms to give more pressure holding the blade to the glass.

As thought the cabling disappears into the bowels of the boat somewhere. I pulled down the wood panel ceiling trim and drilled a hole through into the space where the helm wiper and light is. My cables will run directly from the wipers to the helm switch in the ceiling void ?Sorry to hear the wiper job has rapidly escalated!
I might stick with the single blades for a bit longer but keen to see the outcome of your project ? ? ?
