EU-45 antifouling

I use it and it's fine. I think there are better anti-foulings out there, but it's good value and it works ok (in the Bristol Channel).

I have used it for the last 4 seasons in various locations in the Med and found it very satisfactory. Delivery is included in the price anywhere in the EU which is a bonus for me. It's shipped from Spain. If you email Bill, he will call you back almost immediately if you have any questions. A very friendly operation.

We bought it in Palma Mallorca and used it for one season. It didn't perform as well as the publicity led us to believe but it was OK.

How would you say it compares with Jotun Seaforce 30?

I have used Jotun Seaguardian for years, but this is not now produced. As I have run out of Seaguardian, I now have to either change AF completely, or go with Seaforce 30 or 60.

Sorry, never used that one. Have used various International and Plastimo ones, Flag, XM and some others. Of those I think the Plastimo was probably the best but was by far the most expensive. Bought in Greece when the truck drivers' strike was on, that was all we could get.

I think SeaQueen is closest equivalent to SeaGuardian. That's what I used last year. http://www.smlmarinepaints.co.uk/antifouling/seaqueen Looks as though it will do 2 years (Shoreham, in the river so salt/fresh water mix.)

I was also dissapointed with E.U. 45, had used Jotun Sea Queen before that and was very impressed. Only went for E.U. 45 as Sea Queen went up in price a lot, false economy for me

I take the controversial view that the actual price of the antifouling is only a fraction of the overall cost of antifouling and, as I want to keep costs down as far as possible, I only lift out once every 2 years so need an antifoul which works well. I use International Micron, applied in the correct quantity, and it lasts 2 years.
