I tend to agree with you, jimdew. The instruction manual is a prime document under the CE certification process and, theoretically, I believe that, in strict legal terms, the boat should not be operated without the manual being on board. As a result, I think Essex should be obliged to provide a manual with the boat without it necessarily being mentioned in the sales particulars
When I bought my present boat (from a Dutch dealer), I didnt notice until after the sale that the manual was missing but the dealer obtained a copy from the manufacturer without being pushed by me and at no cost.
I think Essex need to have their arses kicked on this one
