Getting the radar mast off was a major trauma, ended in A&E! We wrapped everything on board in bubble wrap. Actually the drivers were so good we could have gotten away with much less prep.

Have never yet had to arrange own escort, it's normally done by the transport company that moves the boat.

The escort bit was dropped on us at the last minute by the constabulary as the original transport company didn't submit the abload application early enough
The police were very helpful and rushed through the "ok to move" permit
Thanks to Alant (K&M escort) and his mate Dave Bevis Transport from Weymouth pulling out all the stops on Sunday evening(!) we are sorted
