Sittin' here on the west coast the Pacific looks just real different from any other sea or ocean I've ever seen. Maybe it's me. What does the panel think?

don't know about the rest of the panel, but I think you should move back home quickly your spelling is affected (or should that be "you're spellin is real bad" ?)

We all know it was (Rocky) Balboa but, as Plum Wodehouse said, if Cortez/bjb was good enough for Keats, he's good enough for me.

I blame the parents. Specifically, my mother was born and raised for a spell in the U.S. And then I spent some time at college in NY as a young man.

Means that on vacation over here (in Vancouver at the moment) my adverbs tend to slip just a bit.

That's a long haul Mike, I guess being in cruising mode time won't be important. When do you think we might see them down here in World's End?

You're not alone, fwiw.
I've recently seen a place where I had exactly the same feeling: Cape Reinga, the northernmost tip of NZ N island, where the Tasman sea meets the Pacific.
The Maori believe it's the place where the spirits flow to the underworld - by looking at it from above, you can see why.
