Had cause to use this recently and I thought I'd share with the forum as it strikes me as useful stuff for the rare occasions you might need it. It's an epoxy that will adhere to surfaces you can't dry out completely. It will even set underwater and you can add fillers like the regular varieties. I haven't found any reference to it before on here.

I was put on to it by the yard but have found a link to it here (no personal interest, links etc)

It sounds like good stuff ..... but appears to be a lot more expensive than Milliput which does get a lot of good press on here and is extremely easy to use. I have a pack of white, a pack of silver (it's a bluish-grey really) and a pack of black. I used it underwater last year and it sets rock hard in a couple of hours, just like it does in the dry. :)

The putty type products are useful but the product I've linked to is for proper structural repairs using woven matt etc ie. for the sort of situation you'd the west system or similar but you cant fully dry what you are bonding to.

The OP's product looks useful - stored that....

Apropos of nothing - does anyone know if Milliput (or indeed the plumbers stuff - also noted!) is UV resistant or does it need a coat of something?

Milliput is used in the fishkeeping world for securing corals in marine aquariums and also for fragging which is the marine version of propagation. You squeeze it into a disc to mount new propagated corals onto. Due to it's ability to set underwater it's ideal for the job. They are doused in UV light so would assume it's OK.
