I want to take my EPIRB with me in my hand baggage. I don't have any other hold baggage on a flight to spain. Will this be allowed?

If EPIRB has Li battery it should not go into hold baggage - so you should be OK.
Ryanair sometimes have little foibles, just ask for it to be treated as a laptop.

I have just posted on livaboard. Get a e mail from Easyjet to confirm its ok. Airport staff may be jobsworth.
