Hi

Can anyone tell me the sail dimensions (Main and Jib) of an Enterprise Dinghy? I'm currently looking for a suite of sails for a selway Fisher dinghy that I am building and there are a set for sale on ebay...

Thanks

According to answrs .com Designer: Jack Holt (1956)
LOA: 13 ft 3 in (4.0 m)
LWL: 12 ft 11 in (3.9 m)
Beam: 5 ft 3 in (1.6 m)
Displacement: 259 lb (117 kg)
Draft: Centreboard up 8 in (203 mm), down 3 ft 10 in (1.2 m)
Sail area: main & jib 193 ft² (18 m²)

I used the sails from an enterprise on a 17 foot Lysander I built about 20 years ago. It sailed really well, better than the standard rig.Enterprises also have slightly smaller cruising sails ,a set of these would be good for stronger winds.

Which dinghy design are you building?
