Hi all. I'm going to have a look at a Seamaster 30 with twin Ford 360T turbodiesels on heavy duty outdrives. Can anyone tell me anything about this setup that I should look out for. Are there any known problems with these engines or outdrives etc (make unkown).

Thanks...........

Would the outdrives be Sternpower drives. If they are thy're bomb proof. Can be a bit expensive on spares on the rare occasion you might need'em

Seen a lot of Seamaster 30's on Thames over the years, but never one with outdrives. No reason why it shouldn't be fine with the usual provisos:
Has it been properly maintained.
Check very closely for corrosion. Think most outdrives are alloy.

The main thing that would concern me would be why it had outdrives.

Yes I think they are sterndrives but not to sure until I have a look.
And yes, it is Quester 2 as it happens. Can you shed some light on it by any chance? Any horror stories?
