Engine warranty - what's my legal position?

Thanks to all for the advice and comments. Obviously not all of it was what I wanted to hear but I will take Latestarter's sage advice on board when I prepare my latest letter. Unfortunately I don't think I have any statutory or consumer rights regarding this now although it does seem wrong that I should have to ultimately suffer for a product that has leaked oil on an almost annual basis and that the 'manufacturer' doesn't even seem able to fix.

Are the headbolts torqued down enough?? -
I hope so! The head came off for the last couple of repairs.

When I say loose I don't mean finger tight I mean enough to allow oil to creap/leak where it shouldn't. - It could be an easy fix - getting back to what I said about the mitsubishi engine they said it should be torqued down to 90nm then each bolt tightened 90 degrees which wasn't enough - I found 120nm was enough and was oil leak free.

Just a thought it maybe the same conclusion on your engine
