Went to the boat today and engine (Volvo md1) wouldn't turn over - it appears to be completely siezed and I can't budge it at all.

Last used the boat 3 weeks ago and there were no problems, haven't done anything different from normal.

Any thoughts?

Many thanks

First thing to do is to crack the injectors and then put small amount neat oil in the bores, hopefully to help with unseizing the pistons.

Was there any indication of problems when you last used it. The obvious things are a head gasket rupture putting water into the bores, or possibly failure of the antisiphon valve allowing water into the sump. Has the oil level risen at all? Any sign of emulsion on the dipstick?

Read what searush has said... you are only repeating what has been said elsewhere
