engine hours

I suppose to answer that you would need to know the history, the legs, for example, could be like Triggers brush, so you would need to find out the history if possible before making an informed decision. All that said in my opinion engines are better used, they dont like being stood nor do they like being warmed up periodically under no load, 190hours/per year in some respects are better than 19 hours/year

Love the quote LOL !

A well used engine is generally one that is well maintained. People who use their engine for a few hours each year and then, because they haven't used it, think it doesn't need serviced for 3 years - if anything it needs winterised and protected between uses or it will be a big bucket of rust!

I too have seen vp engine and merc drives together and the other way round, maybe mrcoastal rides has had his hands on it.

I have also heard about a boat owner who had a kad42 and a tamd41 in the same boat, with the supercharger removed, only to find he needed to sets of different belts when he serviced it!

That pair might be the same that was delivered to me by C/Rides when I was repowering a Targa 31. Sent me a 41 and a derated KAD42...... thought I might not notice!! I sent them back with a verbal explanation of my thoughts....got a pair of 41's returned a couple of weeks later...they were alright though.
