Engine Cooling temperature

Hi there.
Does any one know what the correct engine cooling temperature is for a
Ford Lehman 135sp Diesel.
Running at full load, 2200 RPM's

I would guess about 85 - 90C.

dont know specifically for that engine, raw water cooled or fresh water intercooled?
if intercooled it will probably run at the same temp as a vehicle engine. as it happens i put a new water pump on my corsa 2 days ago and so have been keeping an eye on the temp. operating at normal town and country driving it is runing at around 92 - 96 deg C,

The engine thermostat has the operating temperature stamped on it.

Yours is quite a large engine and 2200rpm is not a lot so I would be surprised if it was much above 88 Centigrade. BMC?Thornycrofts run at 84.

Fresh water ar Raw water cooled?
If Fresh water somewhere around the mid 80's.
If Raw water (Sea water) cooled about 53 degrees, raw water has to run much cooler or the salt will cause terrible corrosion.
