Endurance 37

Hello all you live aboard folk, my partner and i are considering buying a GRP 1986 Endurance 37, built in Knysna in S Africa. Does anyone out there own one or can anyone suggest where i might go to find someone who can offer some information on these fine looking yachts?

Exellant boat
I had one in Istanbul/Turkey in 1975 made acording to Peters Ibold spec in wood
She was a cutter and she was able to sail by her self!!!
Be carefull to have a engin at least 50 to 60 HP

These are a lovely boat! We looked around a couple in the UK and went out to France to see one too( it was nearly cracked in half but that is thats life - bad or no maintenance!)

They are a lovely boat, really solid and gorgeous lines. Can't think immediately where I got our info from, but I'll rack my brains and see if I can come up with anything.

Hope you find a bit of info cos we really would have loved one of these! Proper solid!

Dear S,

I have an Endurance and can only say they are great cruising yachts. Clearly you need to look hard at the build quality etc or have it surveyed if you are not sure yourself. We have had ours five years and have no great complaints. She will not be light and will need a breeze but better that then the other way round!
