Hi Everyone.

I am looking for a job in the marine industry, some where along the lines of boat preping /boatyard work. I would like to be based near the south coast. I am really willing to learn new skills, and am a hard worker. PLEASE can anyone help or pass this on to those in the know.

Thanks Chris

A few questions need to be asked here...

Are you reliable? If you answer yes, then sorry, you're not cut out for the marine industry.

Second if someone asks you a price can you come up with a nice low figure, but then somehow triple it by the time the invoice is prepared?

Can you do the job better than me? If yes, then again you'll never get far...

I am sure others can add to this list!..

Please forgive the black humour.. and I wish you every luck is finding a job.

Try websites of sunseeker and raymarine and bmf, they all have jobs pages, plus, go to solent area for a weekend, print a bunch of CV's and take them into all the brokers/boatyards/marinas/swindleries etc, especially try hamble point, loads of basically unskilled cheapo work going all the time, lots of marine trade their, also get a first aid course and an H and S course on the CV too.
