I am only slightly ashamed of admitting I can eat 2 "look what we found" pouch meals in one sitting:encouragement:

I wouldn't be at all ashamed. The portion sizes of most packaged meals (I haven't tried LWWF specifically) are fairly stingy.

I believe the "Hot Can" type have a food compartment which is the same size as a normal tin.

Pete,

not the hot cans I tried !

yes the overall thing was quite big dia', but rather disappointing inside.

They certainly did get hot though, and the lids were very sharp; my crew managed to take quite a chunk out of his finger, blood everywhere - as we were off the Casquets with no VHF and a large rising sea one suddenly felt a long way from help !

He survived and the cockpit eventually reverted to white.

Maybe not generic "hot cans" - I was specifically talking about the Hot Can brand which seem to be the most common (possibly only?) ones these days. Their Amazon listing says that the contents is 400g, which I believe is the size of a normal tin.

Thank you for all the suggestions. In the end I have stuck with the FB pies, I was already aware of the Sainsbury's Bacon Brunch, and have also stuck with tinned peas. This works well on my cooker, pies in the oven and peas and brunch on the top. As I'm hoping to bin them again a the start of next season, I felt it was not worth being too fussy!
