Hi again chaps - I don't think I have ever been discussed as much!

I only popped back as I see Anthony has said he is awaiting my reply, but as yet I have not received anything. (I also checked my junk box just in case it had been sent there)

Gentlemen, the same applies to all of you - if you wish to ascertain anything at all, then I am happy to answer your questions through the privacy of email. I am doing this in preference to you guessing as the exact situation and putting 2 and 2 together and making 5.

I am a very friendly and affable chap and will genuinely be totally open, transparent - and above all, honest in any conversation I have with you. Indeed it was one of my very happy buyers who alerted me to this thread in the first place.

May I close by simply saying that please do contact me with your concerns, otherwise please leave gossiping to the fishwives. I truly do not intend (or wish) to be offensive, but I cannot see the point in this continued discussion before at least getting all the facts - and frankly, even then, if you are not interested in the product as a purchase then simply don't buy it.

Please remember that first and foremost, I am a person whose first love is my boat - just like you guys.

Yet you'll only correspond via email? Not very open ....

I'm interested in what this product is and what capabilities it has ... eg - can it integrate AIS?

I have discussed with Jerry and in keeping with my promise will not pass on to here.

But will say this - he is genuine, it was a genuine mistake and the mapsource picture was put on ebay site in error. I'm satisfied and I publicly apologise if my catching his error caused offence.
 
Don't get me wrong - I'm not accusing him of anything - just he says he wants to be open - then tells us nothing except if you email him ...

As you say - it is genuine then why not tell us about it on here - likely to build up quite a few more sales!!
 
Hi Fireball - I only came here to rescue my good name after being alerted by one of my buyers (many of whom have become good acquaintances if not friends). and I don't really have enough hours in the day already - also I don't really think I (or anyone) should be conducting business on a forum such as this.
That said, to answer your earlier question the application does not support AIS or the display of any other type of NMEA data apart from that based on the vessels own geographic position (ie speed, bearing etc). Also, it does not support the transmission of data from the application to other devices (such as DSC etc) Hope this helps.

I am glad that my original proposition that some one with an E-Bay record such as this would be unlikely to put it at risk, especially when alternative identies can be created so easily
