I have a thermostat controlled Eberspacher diesel heater on board. It is thermostat controlled, with a rotary knob with 0, 1, 2, 3 and 4 on it, and a green light in the centre of the knob. The instructions tell me about positions 0 to 4, but if I turn the knob back from the 0 position there is another click-stop, where the green light comes on again. I haven't figured out what this position does, and nothing is mentioned in the instructions. Anyone any idea? (I've already looked at their website).

Possibly "Vent" position. Some Eberspachers have this. It is basically to supply cool air ( fan works, but burner off )

I believe 'Col' is correct. I have the same kind of Eberspacher unit - originally designed for vehicle use - heating recirculated air (ie not fresh from outside the cab(in) and the switch position just circulates the air withiut heating.
