It's time to buy a few more fenders and I'm tight for space.

Are inflatable fenders an option and are they worth the money ?

Any feedback would be welcome.

I think a combination works well. Have some of both so you can have plenty for when you need them.

I certainly wouldn't want to be blowing up my everyday fenders each time I needed them, I'd want a set for coming alongside, plus a rover for emergencies ready to go. Spares you could blow up for the other side in case of rafting could be useful though. When I see what some boats have, I definitely want better fendering while they're coming alongside!

That's what we do. We have five conventional fenders plus four more Avon inflatable fenders. They are pretty large. In addition we have a huge emergency roving Avon inflatable fender. This one has saved the day several times. Not just on our boat but when we see a disaster unfolding we have run to assist with Big Bertha?

Thanks for the replies. Yes, I'm fixed up with conventual fenders for my marina berth and would probably use the inflatable ones when off cruising, rafting etc. I've also increased the size of my berth fenders which uses more space due to some cosmetic damage to my topsides . This I believe happened during a big blow with heavy gusts which must have laid the boat hard over onto the pontoon. Many Thanks.
