It looks as if we are in for a run of easterlies, which will make Swansea bay and the fishing crap! SO I took myself of to the river this morning to have a crack at the Salmon which are currently running up river. No Salmon but 2 very nice wild brownies!! Unfortunately I had to put them back as the trout season on this stretch of river is over!!! typical still it cleared the cobwebs and the weather was g;orious.

Inshore fishing off Hayling Island next thursday. Some of us have hired a 39 footer for the day with a skipper so can relax for a change. Should be a good crack. Early cod if lucky or some rays.

I have no fixed plans yet but I will be cod fishing over the winter (I hear that some have been caught already) and you're more than welcome to join in. I'lll give you a call when it's happening.

Aha - Easterlies. I wish!

I wish I was at the boat this w/e 'cos Easterlies favour this neck of the woods. It can blow an F6 and you can still go cruising in comfort.

...I wish I was there!

(Sorry Julian, that was terribly selfish and self-indulgant of me!)
