At the risk of making a post that has been made/will be made again, who's on the water this weekend?

Me, Mrs Magnum and two offspring will be gritting our teeth aboard Magnum in sunny Torquay from this Thursday. We'll be onboard 'til Tuesday and pastimes are expected to include :-
<ul type="square"> [*]Not leaving the marina cos the weather's crap
[*]Trying to get to sleep listening to the water glugging on the chines
[*]Overnighting at Salcombe
[*]Drinking to excess
[*]Discovering fresh "snags" on our boat
[*]Logging on to www.ybw.com/forums
[/list]
So have what you got planned?

well i'd go for a lot of drink in the pub, so you don't experience conditions on your boat if its rough, and a night at salcombe, sounds good to me, then who cares what the weather is like.

Just don't go to that v.v.v. expensive supermarket that doesn't give cash back and makes you feel you are just a real nuisance.

have a wonderfull easter...

If the weather is kind we hope to make it to Weymouth on Friday and meet up with "Valentino" from Torquay. Probably spend a night or two there before tracking back to Lymington via Poole. If the weather is crap..............we will slum it around a few of the Solent venues...................but whatever happens we will be "hammered" every night !!!!

A 4 day tour around the Northern end of the Norfolk Broads culminating in a 24 ounce steak at the Pontiac (Stracy arms) and a few beers to wash it down.
Who cares about the weather.

Turn your boat round if you suffer 'water glugging on the chines '

Interested that you are still 'Discovering fresh "snags" on our boat '. I reckon I had mine all sorted fairly promptly, would be very interested in what you are finding now. PM me?

For Easter Mrs mjf and I are off to Newtown Ck thurs morning, overnite on the hook then Lymington for the w/e then maybe poole if the Wx holds out. First half looks quite promising for the solent does'nt it?

Enjoy!

Also around Solent at Easter in new boat. Tell Nick & Joanne that "Picard" has been replaced by "Suprendo" based Ocean Village. Also warn Joanne that Jeanette has overpowering love for Westies. Boatone's Bosun can confirm!!
Look forward to seeing one and all. Beer in fridge, wine in cooler, gin in rack, whiskey in me.

Boat's out of the water until 6th April, hence not available for Easter. This should ensure that the weather is perfect for you.

I'm going down to the yard to do a few odd jobs and, if it's nice, may get my Mirror dinghy out and pootle around. I need to go and fit a new strop to my mooring before we go back in, so hopefully will do this at the same time, and kill two birds with one stone.

Oh - and I may have a small tincture or two, in between all this hectic activity.

Tender

How is the search going for your tender? Thought I'd let you know that Williams are indeed launching a new jet rib this year - and it's a four stroke! My mate's signed up for one for his Targa 52. Their e-mail address is sales@williamsmarine.com
