Good morning everyone,
Thought that many of you will be thinking about the Easter weekend and sailing. Hope it is useful to know the thoughts of Weatherweb.net at this time.
We are currently looking at two possible scenarios. One is that low pressure remains close by the east with a fairly strong and unstable N-NW airflow. This would bring showers, some of them heavy, especially to east coasts, whilst western coasts and Ireland would be drier.
The other scenario, and the one we are currently favouring, is that a ridge of high pressure will build from the west. This will lead to lighter winds and less chilly conditions. However, with low pressure drifint through France and more NE flow will be established over the Channel bringing fresher (F5) winds here.
Its all still a little in the air (excuse the pun) but our high pressure thoughts are now starting to be backed up by the major computer models in the UK and Canada. America GFS model (which is the one you will see on most internet sites) is still more unsettled.
We'll see!
Best wishes,
Simon
